The Tangelo Park Community Center Job Fair, hosted by The Collage Companies in partnership with Orange County, was a resounding success. Held on February 26, the event brought together local job seekers and local construction trade partners, creating meaningful connections that will contribute to the growth of both the Tangelo Park Community Center and the broader community.

Tangelo Park is a historic and close-knit community in Orlando, Florida, known for its strong sense of unity and resilience. Originally developed in the 1950s, this neighborhood has grown into a vibrant area with a rich cultural heritage. Over the years, Tangelo Park has benefited from significant community-driven initiatives, including the Tangelo Park Program, founded by hotelier Harris Rosen, which has provided free preschool education and college scholarships for local students. With ongoing investment in infrastructure, education, and workforce development—such as the new Tangelo Park Community Center—the neighborhood continues to thrive as a model for community empowerment and opportunity in Central Florida.

A Strong Turnout and Exciting Opportunities

Dozens of local residents attended the job fair, eager to explore career opportunities in construction, solar energy, and skilled trades. Attendees had the chance to engage directly with hiring managers, learn about available positions, and take the first steps toward long-term careers.

Guiseppe Vicari who led the program, offered: “On behalf of The Collage Companies, we are honored to be part of the Tangelo Park Community Center project, which brings us all here tonight. At Collage, we believe in building strong communities—not just through the projects we construct, but by fostering connections and creating opportunities that make a lasting impact. Tonight is about more than just a job fair —it’s about coming together to build something meaningful.

Participating trade partners, including Go Solar, Impact Surface, Stonewall Masonry, and Fran Construction, actively recruited for new positions and were impressed by the level of local talent and enthusiasm. Many job seekers left with promising leads, follow-up interviews, and a renewed sense of optimism about their future career paths.

Commitment to Community Growth

Hosting this job fair was a key part of The Collage Companies’ commitment to local hiring and compliance with the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act, ensuring that the economic benefits of the Tangelo Park Community Center project extend directly to the people who call this neighborhood home.

We are proud to have played a role in connecting residents with new job opportunities and look forward to seeing how these connections shape the future of Tangelo Park. As construction on the new community center progresses, we remain committed to creating not just a building, but a hub of opportunity, growth, and success for all.

Thank you to everyone who participated! Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new community center.
