The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has dedicated May 3-7, 2021, as the eighth annual National Stand-Down to prevent falls in construction. During this week, Collage jobsites hosted meetings to talk directly to employees about safety – focusing on “Fall Hazards” and reinforcing the importance of “Fall Prevention”. At Collage, planning for safety starts with the bid process and continues throughout the construction phase. We work with our subcontractors to assure a safe work place for employees and the public alike. The number one goal for every project is “Zero Accidents and Zero Citations,” a destination we strive to arrive at through continuous detection of unsafe acts and hazardous conditions, as well as the on-going development of safety awareness in every employee and subcontractor.
“Injuries from falls are devastating to workers, their families and the businesses they work for. It is crucial that we in the construction industry regularly inform our team of risks associated with falls and, importantly, how to prevent these workplace hazards. Collage is committed to controlling fall-related hazards, conducting ongoing safety training and constantly improving our safety program.” Rob Maphis, President of The Collage Companies. The Collage Companies is proud to once again be a Platinum Level participant in this program, which raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries.
