Orlando, Fla. (August 14, 2020) – A significant construction project in downtown Orlando is moving one step closer to fruition. Barton Malow Builders, the construction manager, announced today that it will host a pre-bid virtual meeting this month for the City of Orlando and Florida Citrus Sports’ Camping World Stadium Improvements project.

Construction representatives from Barton Malow, along with The Collage Companies, JCB Construction, C2 Advisors and Provisions Construction & Development will share information about the project, including scope, design, schedule and how to prequalify to bid on packages during a virtual meeting on Thursday, August 20 at 5 p.m. Companies seeking opportunities in CIP (cast-in-place) foundations, demolition, underground utilities (plumbing) and sitework are invited to attend by sending an RSVP to logan.crutchfield@bartonmalow.com.

Originally built in 1936, the stadium underwent a major expansion in 1989, and reconstruction of the lower bowl and suite-level renovations in 2014. The current renovation will include the north endzone seating bowl, modernizing restrooms and concession areas, improving club-level seating, new premium mezzanine clubs on east and west, and upgrading the parking lots and building systems.

This is not Barton Malow’s first time on the gridiron. The company’s stadium renovation experience also includes such iconic venues as the Rose Bowl (UCLA Bruins), the Big House (Michigan Wolverines), Soldier Field (Chicago Bears), Notre Dame Stadium (Fighting Irish), and the $350 million+ redevelopment of Daytona International Speedway.

“Camping World stadium is an iconic landmark for Orlando and a key component of the city’s sports tourism strategy,” said Barton Malow Vice President of Sports, Len Moser. “Our project team has many memories of attending unforgettable events there over the decades, and we are incredibly excited to work with the City of Orlando and Florida Citrus Sports to shape the performance and enhance fan experience, for many more decades to come. Our team is actively seeking participation from small, minority and local businesses to further confirm our commitment to the City’s Blueprint.”
