Collage is on track for a December 2025 completion of the renovated Quest Kids Academy and Therapy Center at 500 E. Colonial Drive in Orlando. Serving as Quest’s trusted partner in this project —as the Construction Manager — Collage is honored to help bring to life a space that will transform the educational and therapeutic journey of children and teens with developmental disabilities.

The Ministry of Construction is a Collage tradition — a moment set aside at each project to pause in gratitude for the many hands and hearts that bring a vision to life. This September, The Collage Companies gathered with community leaders, families, and the Quest team to celebrate this special milestone, deepening our partnership with Quest and elevating the mission behind the new Quest Kids Academy and Therapy Center. At Collage, we are deeply invested in the missions of our nonprofit partners and proud to stand alongside them — not only as builders, but as true collaborators in creating spaces that change lives.

The (16,000-square-foot / please confirm) campus will serve about (65 students / please confirm), ages 5 to 22, with a focus on early academics, classroom readiness, life skills, and employment preparation. Quest Kids Academy uses applied behavior analysis to help students build confidence, gain independence, and reach their full potential.

Rob Maphis, President of The Collage Companies, said: “For us, this project was never just about renovating a building—it was about joining Quest in their mission. Walking through this new Academy, you can feel the impact it will have on the students, families, and staff who will use it every day. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with Quest and to help create a space that truly reflects the heart of their work.”

Collage’s Role: More Than Builders

Collage served as the Construction Manager on the Quest Kids Academy project, overseeing every step of the process from planning through completion. But as with all of our nonprofit partnerships, the work was never just about construction—it was about becoming part of the family, listening to the mission, and helping to create a space that reflects the values of those it serves.

For over 40 years, The Collage Companies has taken a mission-centric approach to construction. Our ethos is simple: build projects that strengthen the foundation and fabric of our community. That means transparent communication, building relationships rooted in trust, and treating every project as an opportunity to reflect the spirit of those we serve.

Collage has had the privilege of partnering with nonprofits across Central Florida who are committed to shaping lives—whether through education, healthcare, faith, or community services. Projects like Quest Kids Academy showcase how construction, renovation and Design Build services can be catalysts for change.  This new space is a reminder of the vital role nonprofits play in the health of our communities, and of how collaboration between mission-driven organizations and industry partners can bring visions to reality.

As John Gill, President and CEO of Quest Inc., noted: “With about one in six children being diagnosed with a developmental disability, the need for specialized learning environments has never been greater.”  He continues: “ Collage has been more than a construction partner — they have been a true collaborator. From the earliest conversations, their team took the time to listen to our vision and understand the heart of our mission. The result is not just a renovated building, but a space that reflects the values and aspirations of the children, families, and staff we serve. We are grateful for Collage’s commitment to walking alongside us in this journey.”

A Shared Mission

The Quest Kids Academy and Therapy Center is one more example of how Collage is committed to “strengthening the foundation and fabric of the community.”  Collage is proud to stand alongside Quest and so many others who dedicate their lives to lifting up the most vulnerable in our communities.
