Climate First Bank Winter Park

Climate First Bank is the first Central Florida branch location for the new bank. Collage delivered this project using a design build partnership approach in conjunction with KMF Architects, SGM Engineering, Tri3 Civil Engineering, Optimus Energy, and others. The existing commercial facility located on 17-92 in Winter Park just south of Fairbanks Avenue was clad with an unprecedented amount of solar panels, arranged as a monolithic, vertical wall structure along the southern facing façade of the building. Also adorning the exterior of the building are multiple charging stations for electric vehicles.

As a LEED Platinum building, this project will achieve Net Zero in terms of energy consumption – meaning the energy it produces will outweigh the energy it consumes. Interior improvements to the building include the addition of offices, conference rooms, an upgraded break room, an ATM and secure server room, and lobby seating area with coffee bar. Finishes include terrazzo-tile floors, and other acoustical treatments to give the interior a modern but inviting feel. Included in the scope of services was the construction of a new 5,000 SF storage building that not only currently serves the church but also supports a ministry that provides furniture for under-privileged families in the area.
