Steve grew up in the construction business where, at the age of fifteen, he was a card-carrying member of two labor unions in Pittsburgh, PA. Steve obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S.C.E.) alongside his identical twin brother who earned the same degree.
Upon graduation, Steve joined up with Turner Construction Company where he traveled across the northeast until he landed in Orlando, FL where he teamed with a select staff and helped to open the Orlando office of Turner Construction. In 1988 Steve returned to Pittsburgh to become Chief Estimator for Baker Mellon Stuart Construction’s “International Division” where he led all pre-construction efforts for the company’s Taiwan and Dubai operations. His work took him to Egypt (where he was able to experience the pyramids of Giza), Kuwait and deep into Saudia Arabia
Steve joined The Collage Companies in 1995 as Project Manager with the goal of starting a “Parks and Recreations” division for the company. This new sector flourished quickly with his leadership and he was quickly promoted to Vice President of the company where he took over the leadership of the Preconstruction department. Steve is a certified General Contractor for the State of Florida and he sits on the Seminole State College Construction Advisory Board.
Some of Steve’s most notable US projects include the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh (the largest museum for a single artist in the country!); Pittsburgh International Airport; Orlando Science Center; Northland Church and the Lynx Headquarters in downtown Orlando.
Steve, and his wife Christine, reside in Altamonte Springs, Florida where they attend Orangewood Church. They have two adult daughters.
