In 1981, Mr. Walsh became a State of Florida Certified General Contractor and holds licenses in Florida and Virginia. He is the recipient of certification for Passive Energy for Building Design. In 2003 he was selected as a charter member of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Designated Professionals and in 2018 was chosen as part of the DBIA’s inaugural College of Fellows. He is also a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional. He has served as an arbitrator and as part of a panel of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. He is past Chairman of the DBIA Certification Board and remains active in many other civic and religious leadership roles.
Since early in his professional career Brian has focused his business life around having a bottom-line purpose as well as a bottom-line profit. His business is his ministry. He has been a board member of The Sanford Rescue Mission as well as a member of the advisory board of Christian Help Ministries. In 2011, he founded Bring Change Ministries, a mission devoted to helping the “new homeless” in our society.
Brian has been married for 40 years to his wife Dianne; they have two children. Brian often spends time on mission and humanitarian trips where his travels have led him to Guatemala, Cuba, Russia and China with various ministry organizations. Mr. Walsh has been published in several magazines and industry journals and is a requested speaker for industry and community groups and organizations.
