For more than sixteen years, IDignity has been a beacon of hope for thousands of individuals in Central Florida who lack the vital identification necessary for employment, housing, healthcare, and education. Since its inception, IDignity has assisted over 33,000 people in Orange County to obtain essential documents such as birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver’s licenses, and state IDs. These documents are more than just pieces of paper—they are the key to unlocking opportunities and achieving stability. Without proper identification, many individuals are unable to access basic services, secure employment, or even find a place to call home.

The need for IDignity’s services is more urgent than ever. An estimated 117,000 people in Orange County face identification challenges, which can be a significant barrier to self-sufficiency. Without the right documents, people cannot open bank accounts, get health care, or secure housing. IDignity has been on the front lines of addressing this crisis, helping individuals overcome these barriers and avoid falling into homelessness.
IDignity’s new headquarters at 1115 S. Division Ave., Orlando is a critical step forward in their mission. After years of operating from rented spaces, this permanent home will provide a stable and welcoming environment where staff and volunteers can continue their impactful work. The new facility will include dedicated spaces for client services, administrative tasks, and community engagement. It represents a new chapter for IDignity—one where they can more effectively serve their clients and expand their outreach to meet the growing demand.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held earlier this month, marks the beginning of this exciting new phase. As Executive Director Michael Dippy noted in an interview with Click Orlando, “You cannot get employment. You cannot get housing. You can’t get proper healthcare; you can’t get much of an education. So, it’s a real barrier to entry into society.” The new headquarters will address these challenges head-on, providing a space where IDignity can continue making a difference, one person at a time.
The Collage Companies is thrilled to continue our partnership with IDignity as we bring their new headquarters to life. We are proud to support their mission by building a space designed to serve and uplift the community. At Collage, we believe that building more than buildings means carrying out a promise to positively impact lives and support organizations that strengthen our communities.
Our commitment to projects like the IDignity headquarters reflects our ethos of establishing relationships built on trust and a shared vision of community improvement. As Brian A. Walsh, Founder and CEO of The Collage Companies, often says, “We’re building more than buildings; we’re carrying out a promise.” This new space embodies that promise—providing IDignity with the foundation they need to continue their life-changing work.
