Tampa Union Station
Tampa, FL
The goal of the Tampa Union Station project is for the improvement of the existing Tampa station for ADA accessibility and to improve passenger travel in, thru, and around the station platform. Site work includes providing an accessible path of travel from the platform to areas of the station via a series of cast-in-place concrete ramps and sidewalks. The sitework also includes a new bus “turnaround” and a new patron drop-off / pick-up area. The project also incorporates the demolition of an existing concrete and asphalt boarding platform and replacing it with a new 1,020 lineal foot pre-cast concrete platform that is 48” above the rail and is 21’-6” in width. The entire platform is covered with a structural steel canopy with standing seam metal roof. New lighting, electrical service, railings, and signage rounds out the scope of work.
