Collage – Announces Four AMTRAK Projects Throughout the US
As part of The Collage Companies’ ongoing relationship to provide general contracting services for the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (AMTRAK) to lead ADA compliant construction on existing Amtrak passenger platforms throughout the US – Collage announces four new ADA compliance projects:
Wilmington, DE (WIL) Amtrak Station New Escalator Project – Collage will be installing two new escalators and a new stairwell in the existing boarding platform. Work will also include ADA improvements within the historic station. Work will commence in early March of 2022. The Wilmington, DE station was originally constructed in 1908. The station was designed by the prolific railroad architect, Mr. Frank Furness.
Burlington, IA (BRL) Amtrak Station ADA Renovations – At this station Collage will be removing and reconstructing a 1,390 lineal foot concrete boarding platform and precast concrete canopy structure that runs parallel to the active railroad track. Work will commence in the spring of 2022.
Havre, MT (HAV) Amtrak Station ADA Renovations – The Havre station is a historic station located in rural Montana. Collage will be removing and reconstructing a 1,000 lineal foot concrete boarding platform that runs parallel to the active railroad track. Work will commence in the spring of 2022.
East Glacier Park, MT (GPK) Amtrak Station ADA Renovations – The East Glacier Park station is a historic station located in one of the nation’s most scenic National Parks. Collage will be removing and reconstructing a 1,040 lineal foot concrete boarding platform that runs parallel to the active railroad track. Work will commence in the spring of 2022 when the park reopens from its annual winter shutdown.
In total Collage has been awarded the renovation of fourteen (14) Amtrak stations across the country for Amtrak: Tampa #1, FL; Winter Haven, FL; Okeechobee, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Sanford, FL; Tampa #2, FL; Picayune, MS; Hazlehurst, MS; Effingham, IL; Devils Lake, ND; Burlington, IA; East Glacier Park, MT; Havre, MT; and Wilmington, DE.
