Collage’s Hyatt Place Vilano Beach – Training Model for Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation
On Thursday, Feb 20, 2020 The Collage Companies hosted three training sessions for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Vilano Beach, Florida. These coordinated partnering-training sessions focused on the states Storm Water Prevention Protection Plan (SWPPP) program and its implementation for about thirty new inspectors.
Each session provided for two essential mockup critiques, where the first entailed an overall review of Collage SWPPP site plan and official record keeping, which was then followed by a site tour mockup inspection of the onsite SWPPP methods employed. A key take-away for the event was the open sharing dialogue and the focus placed on reviewing sound practices that did serve to support the states SWPPP program policies as designated to protect the community, the project site and our living environment. The sessions also provided great insight into the stated FDEP program requirements and promoted sound ideas of comprehensive Best Practices engagement.
“The entire event was a great success that proved to be most beneficial for the FDEP new inspector personnel and the Collage project team. Upon final review with the FDEP instructor, the closing comment made was that Collage would be considered “top tier” in the SWPPP efforts as presented and deployed onsite.” says Arland Deese, Senior Project Manager, The Collage Companies.
