National Safety Stand-Down To Prevent Falls In Construction

Lake Mary, Florida – Each May, OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration) organizes the National Safety Stand-Down, a time in which construction companies across the country are asked to participate in an awareness campaign speaking directly to employees about on-the-job safety and specifically to focus on “Fall Hazards” and reinforcing the importance of “Fall Prevention.” According to OSHA, fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 366 of the 971 construction fatalities recorded in 2017 (BLS data).

The Collage Companies conducted #StandDown4Safety presentations and events at work sites all over Central Florida during stand down for safety week which took place May 6th through May 10th.
