Amtrak Orlando Station Renovation receives Excellence in Construction award
The Central Florida Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors presented The Collage Companies with a 2015 Excellence in Construction Award of Merit for the successful renovation of the 1926 Amtrak Orlando Station. The $2.1 million project included restoration of the original doors and windows, replacement and relocation of the HVAC system, a wheelchair ramp, and landscaping and other site improvements. URS Corporation Southern was the architect; Magley Design was the Landscape Architect. The Collage Companies completed the project four months early and earned a 106/110 safety score. The project also won the City of Orlando’s 2015 Historic Preservation Award for Outstanding Commercial Project.
